Maurício Ribeiro Maciel began his career at Marins Bertoldi in January 2011, after spending more than a year in London, England, where he completed a postgraduate degree in Business Administration and a Professional Master’s in International Business Law (LL.M).

He has been involved in numerous M&A transactions, either advising the buyer or the seller, conducting due diligence, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating clauses in memorandums, contracts, agreements, and corporate planning.

Maurício provides daily consultancy on Corporate Law matters, including participation in shareholder meetings He advises foreign investors on corporate issues and procedures with the Central Bank. He has also undertaken various corporate planning and reorganization projects focusing on the diverse strategic interests of shareholders. He is experienced in structuring shareholder agreements and, in conflict situations, advises on the negotiation and structuring of extrajudicial solutions.

In the contractual area, Maurício assists in drafting, analyzing, reviewing, and negotiating various types of contracts and negotiating extrajudicial agreements to resolve conflicts.

He has extensive experience in structuring Succession Planning, aiming at economy, risk reduction, and achieving the interests of family patriarchs/matriarchs in preserving family wealth and optimizing its management efficiently

Maurício has experience providing legal advice to startups, actively participating in structuring shareholder agreements, investment structuring, vesting contracts/stock options, etc.

He was a member of the Instituto Dialogação Council and was a professor in Corporate Law Specialization at Universidade Positivo.
