João Marques had his first contact with Public Law during an internship at the State Attorney General’s Office, where he assisted the attorneys responsible for representing the State of Paraná in Tax and Fiscal Law cases. Before completing his graduation, he interned for two years at the Special Body of the Court of Justice of the State of Paraná.
He began his career as a lawyer in the litigation department of a law firm in Curitiba, providing business consultancy and legal advisory services, especially in the tax and civil areas.
Since 2018, João has been a lawyer at Marins Bertoldi, where he is part of the tax litigation team. He is responsible for drafting anti-tax enforcement actions and handling defenses and appeals in administrative and judicial processes.
